 What is Safety Wise
Safety wise is book that is published and distributed by the Girl Scout Organization. Books are given to every leader and contains rules and guidelines for when a crisis occurs. The book is a reference point for the leaders to ensure that they are acting in the best interest of the girls. This page contains some of the basic information but is not meant to replace the book.
Basic Rule of Thumb:
Field Trips: The leader is not allowed to take the girls anywhere without a signed permission slip from the parent or guardian. The leader should keep this permission slip with them on their travels it gives information on where the parent or guardian can be contacted in case of emergency. The form can be found on the Moingona Council Website.
Ratio of Girls to Adults. The Ratio of girls to adults is determined depending upon the age of the girl. As girls get older there ratio of girls to adults get larger.
