       Welcome! Greenfield is excited to have RAGBRAI coming to our town. Your visit on July 20, 2009 will be a historical day for the town of Greenfield.
       I would like to give you some information about Greenfield the county seat of Adair County, Iowa’s #1 county. Greenfield, population of 2,150, is a Main Street Town featuring our unique Town Square. Greenfield has a community pride that keeps our beautiful town alive and vibrant.
       Greenfield has many attractions to offer to the residents and guests. Greenfield features an unique Square for retail businesses, 9-hole Golf Course, Adair County Fitness Center (racquetball court, weights, basketball court, aerobics room, etc.), Swimming Pool, City Parks, City Lakes (kayaking, sail boats, fishing, nature trails), Bowling Alley, Restaurants & Dining, Movie Theatre, Historical sites (Opera House, Court House, etc.), Museums, Airport, Sports Complex, Freedom Rock, Churches and Bed & Breakfast. This is just a sample of what Greenfield has to offer.
       Greenfield takes pride in our Nodaway Valley Community School District. Students have achieved ratings as State Champions, State Runner-Up and Conference Champions in Football, Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Wrestling, Volleyball, Softball, Baseball, Track, Soccer, Band, Music and All Academic Awards.
       Greenfield provides health care at Adair County Memorial Hospital, Home Health Care and Greenfield Manor.
